Week 52: The Woods

The Woods ♥ ♥ ♥ .5  I must admit, I was fickle with this book. Maybe it deserves 4 hearts. I definitely could not tell what was coming, or couldn’t fathom the whys while reading. It kept me guessing, groaning and grimacing.

There were many story lines competing for attention: single fatherhood, Russians, dead friends, missing sister, absent mother, long lost love, rape case. Each of them interesting in their own right, but the big one was always there, just beneath the surface. It definitely wasn’t my favorite book this year, but it was enjoyable. Worth a read from Harlan Coben. The reviews are really good for this book, so maybe it’s just me with the 3.5?
